Biographical Info:

Tony Rivero is a Conservative Republican seeking to represent one of the two seats in the Arizona House of Representatives in District 27. After winning election to Peoria’s Acacia District on the City Council by a landslide in 2010, he quickly earned a reputation as an advocate for Fiscal Responsibility and Open Government. He led the crusade against wasteful spending, and tax increases.

He carried his conversative credentials to the Arizona Legislature and was elected by the voters 3 times. At the legislature Tony voted for balanced budgets, less government, and was a leader in cutting taxes. Fiscal responsibility will continue to be his top priority as a conservative at the legislature. Rivero grew up in Peoria that is now part of District 27. He attended Peoria High School, Glendale Community College, and ASU where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s in Public Administration. In addition to his formal education, Rivero is a business owner and an entrepreneur. Rivero’s extensive knowledge of the district, thanks to his time as a member of the legislature, combined with his commitment to serve the voters of District 27, assists him in being an effective leader at the legislature.

Statement:

Several years ago, I served in the Arizona State House where I built a real record of achievement on economic issues, jobs, public safety, and fighting illegal immigration. After that, I returned to the private sector and my family. This year, I was asked to return to public office by people who wanted a legislator who they knew would get the work done without wasting time on partisan games. So I agreed, and I’m once again asking for your vote so we can solve issues that are hurting our state – like securing our border and enforcing our laws against illegal immigration. We have a crisis on our hands with the fentanyl epidemic, we need to ensure the West Valley gets its fair share of transportation and infrastructure funding, and we need to fight inflation and high interest rates and make Arizona an affordable state that works for everyone again. I won awards from family, small business, and law enforcement groups for my record before and I’m ready to fight for you again. I’m running as a team with Lisa Fink and Kevin Payne and hope you’ll support our team, because we care deeply about our state and its people!
