I worked as a banker until 1991, when a merger forced me into retirement. We lived in New York, London, and Tokyo, and had children in each city. We moved to Tempe in 2008 because my wife, Catherine Hayden, grew up here. I became a Republican precinct committeeman in 2018 because I wanted to help the Republican party hold Congress in the mid-term elections. The 2020 general changed my view of politics. I believe that election was so badly run that it should never have been certified. The Legislature has, in my opinion, done almost nothing to correct the problem in the four years since. That, and the fact that no one else volunteered, is why I run.
