John Gillette is a dedicated public servant with a proven track record of delivering results for the people of Legislation District 30. As a current member of the House of Representatives, he has worked tirelessly to expand healthcare options in rural Arizona, address election integrity and water issues, and secure standby pay for DPS officers.
A proud Army veteran, John brings a wealth of leadership experience to his role as a legislator. With a distinguished 35-year career in the military, John rose through the ranks to achieve the prestigious position of Command Sergeant Major (CSM). As a CSM, John was responsible for overseeing thousands of soldiers’ training, morale, and discipline. He led by example, instilling in his troops a strong sense of duty and camaraderie. His strategic decision-making, effective communication skills, and ability to inspire others were instrumental in the success of his units.
Throughout his military career, John served multiple deployments, including in combat zones, where he demonstrated courage and dedication to his country. His exceptional leadership qualities were recognized with numerous awards and commendations. John’s background as a CSM has equipped him with the skills necessary to navigate complex issues and make tough decisions in the legislature.
As a sheriff’s deputy in Illinois, John served as a tactical officer on the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team, specializing in high-risk operations and ensuring the safety of both citizens and fellow officers. His dedication and commitment to the job were recognized when he was awarded for solving a complex homicide case. The experience of working in law enforcement has taught him valuable lessons in teamwork, leadership, and perseverance, and he is proud to have made a positive impact in his community.
John Gillette’s background in real estate and law uniquely qualifies him to address complex legislative issues and represent the constituents of Legislation District 30. His legal expertise enables him to analyze legislation, draft effective bills, and advocate for policies that uphold the Constitution and protect Arizonans’ rights. Along with his wife Jamie, a fellow army veteran and Health Care Provider PA-C.
